The best 59$, a java developer can ever invest

by Priyatam

If you don’t buy this now, you’re either dumb. Or just plainly stupid.

For the impatient: it’s a small jar that lets you compile/run/deploy java instantly, like php. I’ts the real HOT DEPLOY that jvm lacks out of the box.

No more restarting the server, ever again, even after reconfiguring Spring beans.

I used this for a month, and convinced my manager to buy licenses for all. It’s that good.

I would buy if the $59 were for an actual license, the problem is that it’s just an annual subscription, so it’s actually $59/year.

It’s still cheap (specially for businesses), but I really dislike subscription-based licenses.

Good point Daniel – it’s an annual pricing model.

Based on our most recent survey (700 respondents – http://www.zeroturnaround.com/blog/java-ee-container-heaven-hell-survey-results/), and given some conservative estimates (see the explanation under the last chart), JavaRebel can save between 81 and 319 hours of time spent redeploying per year, depending on the container you’re using.

Not sure if that’s worth the 59 bucks per year though ;-)

We should stop expecting that everything in this world is free. 59$ is peanuts for a developer who makes $$ per hour. Seriously.
