Acegi-Security for Spring is a popular open source choice for implementing a robust security solution. It can be a daunting task to get up and running with it quickly. The recommended steps from the website say that you need to spend about a week learning it before you can use it. Well, in my position, I just don’t have that kind of time. Having said that, the time required to learn could be trimmed down significantly if there was adequate documentation (more than just the reference guide) and some more detailed examples. My goal here is to give those who chose to use Acegi a jump-start.
